The band was formed in 2007 and after signing to Parlophone a few years later, they released this song as a demo for free download on morningparade.com in Spring 2010.
  • The song title is an abbreviation for Accident and Emergency, which in the UK is a common name for the emergency department of a hospital.
  • Sparrow told The Sun: "A&E is a song about feeling paranoid about infidelity when we were all having women trouble."
