Songfacts®:

  • This song finds vocalist Ben Barlow and his pals thinking about their futures. He explained to Kerrang!: "'Losing Teeth' is about how me and my friends back home are all in a phase of life where we're moving and generally pursuing things that take us away from where we all grew up. It's not about the end of our youth, as such, but definitely the end of us being kids, and reflecting on that."
  • The video came out differently to how it was meant. Barlow explained: "There was meant to be a big narrative part in the video that didn't end up working out, where we had two young girls dressed up as teeth – and they were lost, like, literally loosing teeth. It didn't really translate, so we ended up just making it performance based."
