    Needtobreathe explained the song is, "A nostalgic track and takes you back to the moments you never want to forget."
  • Carrie Underwood lends her vocals to the track, taking the lead on the second verse and adding harmonies throughout. The country superstar is returning a favor after Bear Rinehart contributed harmony vocals to "Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus" on her 2021 gospel album, My Savior.
  • Underwood comes from a similar rural upbringing as NeedtoBreathe, so she fit seamlessly into the collaboration. "We all came from small towns, and those roots have cemented into the fabric of the band and our music," the band explained. "We felt like [Underwood's] small-town roots and humble beginnings were the perfect addition to this song. As soon as we got into the studio, we felt a connection with her, as if she was a longtime member of the band. Having someone with her talent and spirit sing on the song is an absolute honor for us."
  • NeedtoBreathe released the song on May 20, 2021 as the second single from Into The Mystery. The band recorded the album over the course of three weeks after decamping to an isolated historic house-turned-recording studio near Columbia, Tennessee. They laid down the record with co-producer and engineer Konrad Snyder and special guests, including a certain Carrie Underwood.
