Songfacts®:

  • Nina Nesbitt explained the song's meaning to The Sun: "It's about not feeling very confident after various knockbacks, then meeting this person and them challenging my perception of myself," she said. "It's a love song with a twist, about those first few weeks that almost feel electric, when you could be in the most ordinary place, but it feels like the most exciting, magical thing."
  • Nina Nesbitt penned this song during her first-ever writing trip to Nashville. The inspiration was getting back with her ex-boyfriend, Lower Than Atlantis frontman Mike Duce. Nesbitt explained to Billboard that after they got back together, she realized how a relationship should be.

"It felt very natural and effortless and I didn't feel that horrible anxiety you get when you don't know if someone likes you back," she said. "It was easy and good for me."
