Songfacts®:

  • Nina Nesbitt is a folk-pop singer-songwriter who was raised in Balerno, Edinburgh by a Swedish mother and Scottish father. Nina started writing short stories at the age of 6, which she then started putting to music after being given a keyboard four years later. The young Scot began posting covers of early idols Kelly Clarkson, Ellie Goulding and Taylor Swift songs on YouTube as well as composing her own songs. However, it was only after Nina was given an acoustic guitar that she found the blueprint for her own sound. The response culminated with her first self-released EP, The Apple Tree, going straight to #6 on the iTunes download chart, which led to a deal with Island Records. Nina also bcame to the attention of Ed Sheeran, who asked the young singer to support him on his tour, as well as giving her with a small cameo role in his "Drunk" video. This bouncy acoustic-guitar shout out to having a good time was released as Nina's second single.
  • The Ramy Dance directed video documents Nina and her friends enjoying a wild night out in Glasgow. Ramy explained to Promo News: "We wanted to keep it natural and decided to quite simply let the girls loose around the city centre, causing quite a stir wherever they went. We set up venues for them to go, moved them from place to place fairly promptly and supplied them with countless drinks (Jaegermeister)."
