Songfacts®:

  • This rock-fuelled song was co-written by 1D's Niall Horan, British songwriter Wayne Hector ("History," "End Of The Day") and the three guys from the production team TMS. It came about when the co-writers asked Niall what was missing from their Made in the A.M. album? Niall replied that they had yet to record a rock song for the set.

The quintet used Kings of Leon's 2008 hit single "Sex on Fire" as the inspiration for this tune, about a girl stuck at the bar with an annoying guy. Niall said, "It's relatable, I guess. Everyone has a grungy night out every now and then."
