Songfacts®:

  • Any of you remember One Direction singing "Flashdance... What a Feeling" during the 2010 X Factor final? It was a group number, performed with the other finalists. Well, don't be fooled by the title, this soft rocker is an entirely different tune than the Irene Cara hit song.
  • Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson wrote the song with regular collaborator Jamie Scott. It was produced by Daniel Bryer and Mike Needle – the same pair also helmed the Perfect EP track "Home."

Mike Needle also collaborated with Jamie Scott on another former X-Factor contestant's track. They co-wrote Ella Henderson's Chapter One song "All Again."
