Growing Up Beside You

Album: Sunny Side Up (2009)
  • This accordion ballad is an ode to Nutini's childhood sweetheart Teri Brogan, who is a former highland dance champion. After going their separate ways the couple are now re-united. The Scottish singer-songwriter told The Sunday Times May 31, 2009: "A lot of the songs have parallels with what I'm doing but I also take a lot from other people's situations," before adding that maintaining his relationship with Brogan is not easy.
