Songfacts®:

  • This song is about an instant connection. Parmalee's lead singer Matt Thomas co-penned the tune with the band's bass player Barry Knox and songwriters Phil O'Donnell and Wade Kirby. "It's a song about that crucial moment when you change your Facebook status from 'single' to 'in a relationship,'" said Thomas. "It's a total game changer."
  • Speaking with People magazine, Knox said that in this age of social networking, relationships have become much more complicated. "It's definitely a lot more difficult now since Facebook has come out," he said. "Back in the day, when you met a girl, you had to wait three days before you called. Now you got to make sure you change your status on time, call and text at the right time... this is getting too difficult."
