Songfacts®:

  • Written by Paul Giovanni, this song was performed by a naked Britt Ekland in the 1973 cult horror film The Wicker Man. Known alternatively as "The Siren Song," it was also released on a collection called Willows Songs as "Willow's Theme."

The siren reference is probably the most fitting, but alluring though a naked Miss Ekland must have been to the hapless police officer her character was tempting through the bedroom wall, it was not her voice he heard. According to the film's musical director Gary Carpenter, it was actually sung by Rachel Verney. >>
