Songfacts®:

  • This string quartet-led ballad was Weller's attempt to write a modern "Danny Boy." He explained: "I love the song 'Danny Boy.' The lyrics are amazing. I was after the same thing here. It's written from the perspective of a Scottish Lord in the 1800s waiting for his wayward son to come home. He's worried about him, but he still can't wait to be reunited. I guess it's something everyone can relate to in some shape or form."

  • Swaddy from MerseysideHave grew up listening to Weller and many others but lately so many songs seem to have relevance, maybe as we get older we go deeper maybe more connected, but no shame in Weller’s music as he seems to get better with age, and so diverse, trying and covering classics not to mention his own. I have admiration for most musicians but Weller is special, also with Steve Craddock, such great music, thank you!
  • Dutchblues from NetherlandsI just discovered the album "Other Aspects" from Paul Weller. What a great album, just Wow Wow. Too many songs that are great, but Where'e you go is fantastic. Thank you Paul for a masterpiece
