Suddenly The Darkness

Album: The Mindeater EP (2011)

  • Dominic Cipolla of Phantom Family Halo tells us this song is about "stepping out of the shadows and trying to stay in light," adding that it's "a gospel song of sorts." Cipolla formed Phantom Family Halo with Bonnie "Prince" Billy (Will Oldham), and they recorded the 4 song Mindeater EP in a funeral home Cipolla was living in with his girlfriend, who was a mortician. He says the building gave the tracks a "peaceful, pleasant vibe."
