This samples some dialogue performed by Nastassja Kinski from Wim Wenders' movie Paris, Texas. The guitar riff was lifted from Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds."
There are two versions of this track: the original Terry Farley one with Bobby Gillspie's vocals, and an instrumental remix by Andy Weatherall that samples the Reverend Jesse Jackson. The latter became the better known one particularly after it was popularized by the DJs in Ibiza.

"Cleveland Rocks" was written by an Englishman. Ian Hunter wrote the song after touring America in the late '70s and finding that Cleveland was by far the most receptive city to his brand of Glam Rock.
