Songfacts®:

  • This samples some dialogue performed by Nastassja Kinski from Wim Wenders' movie Paris, Texas. The guitar riff was lifted from Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds."
  • There are two versions of this track: the original Terry Farley one with Bobby Gillspie's vocals, and an instrumental remix by Andy Weatherall that samples the Reverend Jesse Jackson. The latter became the better known one particularly after it was popularized by the DJs in Ibiza.
  • This gospel-house song was the first track Primal Scream recorded for their Mercury Prize-winning Screamadelica album and it became the record's centerpiece.
