Songfacts®:

  • Rain Radio are a collective of producers and DJs. They joined forces with Irish producer DJ Craig Gorman for this high-energy club cut.
  • The song heavily samples Nelly Furtado's 2012 single "Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)." While the Canadian's original is a swaggering ode to being 14 and getting "bigger and better," the producers centered this dance update on the lyric "talk about sex."
  • Originally released as a white label, "Talk About" garnered serious traction across Soundcloud and YouTube, and got support from BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac. Polydor picked the song up and released it as a single on May 14, 2021.
