Songfacts®:

  • Ratt lead singer Stephen Pearcy calls this lusty rocker "a good ass-kicking song." It's part of the group's third album, Dancing Undercover, and although it wasn't a hit, it became a live favorite and continued the band's streak of Platinum-selling albums that continued with their next one, Reach For The Sky.
  • The song was originally titled "Invasion Of Your Privacy," which is the name of the group's second album, but they decided to change it to avoid a conflict.
  • The song was written by Pearcy along with Ratt guitarist Warren DeMartini and bass player Juan Croucier. In Ratt's Tell the World: The Very Best of Ratt compilation, DeMartini explained: "I think this fast-tempo heart-pumper was inspired by the news that studio time was booked and paid for while we were on tour supporting Invasion Of Your Privacy. It was: use the studio or lose it!"
