  • February 2, 1996
  • Singer-songwriter Remi Wolf was born in Palo Alto, California to a Sicilian mother and a Russian-Persian father. Her music isn't confined to one genre - it blends elements of soul, pop, funk, and even bedroom pop.
  • Wolf wasn't always belting out tunes. She was a competitive skier in her youth, twice representing the US at the Junior Olympics.
  • Wolf split her time between training and playing in various school bands, including an a cappella girl group called Citrus. "A real middle-school name," she told Triple J. "We sang in harmony and performed at preschools and stuff."
  • Wolf appeared during the audition rounds of American Idol in 2014 during her senior year of high school.
  • She collaborates with producer Solomonophonic to craft her distinctive sound. Wolf first met him in high school and has worked with him since.
  • After finishing her studies at the University of Southern California's music school, Wolf released her debut EP, You're a Dog!, in September 2019.
  • She signed to Island Records and released her critically acclaimed debut album Juno in 2021. Continuing the canine theme, the LP is named after her dog, which she adopted during lockdown.
  • In her early 20s, Wolf struggled with alcohol and substance abuse. Daily functioning wasn't the issue, but blackouts and fights with loved ones were. A wild post-lockdown show in 2020 was a turning point. After rocking the drive-in stage, she crashed into a blackout. The next day, a tearful conversation with her parents led her straight to rehab. Her recovery forms the backdrop to Juno.
