Songfacts®:

  • Rixton's debut album takes its title from this soulful a cappella song. The track dates back to the days when vocalist Jake Roche and bassist Danny Wilkin were penning tunes in a caravan having no idea where they would end up. "We came up with 'Let the Road' years ago in a caravan in Danny's back garden, when we were trying to make something happen with our music and nothing was working out," explained Jake. "It's perfect to have that be the title track and the first song on this album, because it shows that you really never know where you're going in life."
