This song required a lot of work to get into shape. Frontman Ellis Ludwig-Leone told American Songwriter: "'Woman In Red' went through three or four iterations, which is not how I usually write. When I write, it usually comes out as one thing that kind of knows what it is, but with that song I ended up having to cut a lot. I had whole vocal sections that I cut, I changed the drum beat a couple times… that song was elusive to finally nail it down and figure out what it was about."
Mike Campbell from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers played the slide guitar on "Sixth Avenue Heartache." There is a connection here - Wallflowers lead singer Jakob's dad, Bob Dylan, played with Tom Petty in The Traveling Wilburys.
The chorus of "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir" in "Lady Marmalade" is French for "Do you want to sleep with me tonight?" When Labelle performed it on television, they had to change it to "Voulez-vous danser avec moi ce soir" (Do you want to dance with me tonight?).
