Songfacts®:

  • This hazy track finds Santigold and rapper iLoveMakonnen encouraging the listeners to go and out get those things they want.

The beat is supplied by Toronto-based production duo Zeds Dead. "We met Makonnen on the Mad Decent Boat Party last year and knew he could kill this beat," the production pair recalled. "He hit us up and said he and Santigold both were jumping on it. We're big fans of hers, so when he brought that back to us it was a no-brainer. The record just came together really naturally and the final cut is something we're all really happy with."
  • The video was directed by Santigold herself alongside Trouble Andrew and filmed at the 2015 Made in America festival in Philadelphia. We see Santigold and Makonnen cruising through the festival grounds in their Cadillac Escalade mini car. Along the way, a number of other well-known festival performers can be spotted including A-Trak, Big Sean, De La Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, Fabolous, Meek Mill and Vic Mensa.
  • The song was released as the second single from 99¢. "Everything is a product at this point - including people and relationships," Santigold told Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show. "Everything is about marketing products… Everything is undervalued… so I thought 99¢ was a good price for me, my life, and all my hard work."
