  • "Death Because Of Death" is the first of two interludes on We Are Not Your Kind. Corey Taylor is accompanied on the song by Kat Primeau, who is an actress in the musical improv troupe Robot Teammate.
  • The unsettling track finds Taylor repeating:

    Death because of, death because of you

    The song was created by percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan. He told Apple Music: "It's very atmospheric, making you question things. It's another little puzzle piece. It's like a snake that creeps up on you, and it's gone before you realize what you can do."
  • The atmospheric track runs at just 1:20. Corey Taylor told Loudwire: "We were working with all kinds of experimental parts. We cut 'Death Because of Death' down to make it even more poignant. A song like that can go too long, but if you find the right moments in it you've really got something."
