Songfacts®:

  • "Tell Me" is a collaboration between Sonny Fodera and British singer and songwriter Clementine Douglas. The song is a heartfelt plea for reassurance built around Douglas' simple but emotionally loaded question: "Tell me, will you love me?" The verses sketch out the emotional stakes, while the chorus drives home the central theme: a kind of dancefloor existentialism where love, longing, and high-energy beats coexist in harmony.
  • Douglas was once part of the band Kudu Blue and has since carved out an impressive career as one of UK dance music's go-to vocalists. In 2022, she won Dance Vocalist of the Year at the BBC Radio 1 Dance Awards.

This isn't Douglas' first time working with Fodera, either. Their 2023 track "Asking" landed in the UK Top 10, and Douglas also co-wrote Fodera's "Somedays," which went on to be nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 BRITs.

Douglas has also lent her talents to the likes of Chase & Status ("Mixed Emotions") and Joel Corry ("History").
  • Fodera and Douglas co-wrote the song with:

Scottish Producer Suart Crichton, formerly of the UK dance duo Narcotic Thrust (an anagram of Stuart Crichton). Crichton has also worked with such acts as Kygo ("Stargazing"), Backstreet Boys ("Don't Go Breaking My Heart") and Kesha ("Learn To Let Go").

Irish singer-songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham, who aged 17 won an ASCAP Pop Award for co-penning JoJo's hit "Too Little, Too Late." She's also penned hits for Britney Spears ("Work Bitch") and Ella Henderson ("Alibi").

Fodera, Douglas and Crichton produced the song.
  • The Jessi Clover Belgrave-directed video follows Clementine Douglas as she explores the beautiful island of Iceland and watches the sun rise over the scenic Icelandic landscapes.
