• Steve Aoki previously worked with the Korean boyband when he remixed their track "MIC Drop" with additional vocals by Desiigner. When that variant topped the US iTunes Top Songs chart, BTS became the first K-pop group to accomplish the feat.
  
  The dance producer also collaborated with BTS vocalists' Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, and V for a song called "The Truth Untold" for the popular septet's 2018 album Love Yourself: Tear.
• Steve Aoki told Billboard that usually when he works with vocalists, "we go take after take after take to get the best." However he didn't want to change the take that BTS sent him as he loved "how raw and pure and genuine it is."
• Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn directed the song's lighthearted video that tells the playful story of an unreciprocated crush. The clip features an all Asian-American cast including The Hangover's Ken Jeong and 13 Reasons Why star Ross Butler.
