Songfacts®:

  • The second single from Stone Temple Pilots' 2018 self-titled album is a blues-inflected, riff-heavy track. The song is the follow-up to "Meadow", the band's first release to feature the vocals of one-time X Factor contestant Jeff Gutt.

"'Roll Me Under' was one of the first songs I wrote for the album, and one of the first Jeff sang on too," STP bassist Robert DeLeo told Rolling Stone. "Those riffs have been kicking around in my head for years, and it felt like the right time to record and perform it."
