Songfacts®:

  • This was written by Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland together with Nashville singer-songwriter Bobby Pinson. The trio also wrote Sugarland's first Country #1 "Want To" together. Bobby Pinson's other credits include "One Wing in the Fire" by Trent Tomlinson, "We Weren't Crazy" by Josh Gracin and "She's a Hottie" by Toby Keith.
  • Jennifer Nettles spoke to Dial-Global radio network about this song: "It's fun and light-hearted, and it feels like summer. And where 'Stay' left off with just a guitar and a vocal, this starts off with just a guitar and a vocal. Obviously it kicks in, so you can move yourself around and dance. But I think it's sort of a nice juxtaposition, but also it shows a bit of an evolution."
  • The promotional materials say that it was Sugarland's intent to have a lot of swing for this lead single for the album. "To funk it up a bit, and keep it very hooky." Jennifer Nettles added: "I love the flirty sound. We just always want to bring different energies, and we got to play on the lighter side this time."

  • Michael from Milton,I'm not crazy about a lot of sugarlands music, and this is possibly my least favorite of their songs next to stay and a new top dislike: "Joey"
    Nettles has good vocals and the band is good but I am not sure they have found their sound yet.
  • Mary from Ewing, NjI love this song i have all of there songs on my ipod i just cant get enough of them!
  • Megannnnn from Arubda, ArubaI love this song so much!
    I don't think the chorus is annoying, but thats my opinion (;
  • Landon from Winchester, OhThe chorus for this song is so annoying. Every time my dad hears it on the car radio, he either turns it down all the way or changes the station.
