Songfacts®:

  • This intimate slice of winter life was written by The Courteeners frontman Liam Fray on Norah Jones' piano in her New York home. It was performed live for the first time in 2011 when Fray was invited by the late Lou Reed to perform at a night in the Big Apple curated by the former Velvet Underground band member.
  • The song was produced by Stephen Street (he helmed The Courteeners 's 2008 debut album St. Jude) and recorded at London's Miloco Studios in September 2015. It was included on the deluxe version of the band's Concrete Love album.
  • All the band's profits from sales of the song are being donated to Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.
