  • This was the first preview single from English Indie Rock band The Maccabees' third album, Given To The Wild. It was first played on November 15, 2011 on BBC Radio 1 by Zane Lowe and released on January 1, 2012.
  • The lyrics appear to have nothing whatsoever to do with big-billed water birds. Its subject matter of innocence, nostalgia and parenthood are themes that run throughout the album.
  • The song was used for the preview montage of the BBC 2 show Top Gear's 19th season on January 27, 2013.
  • This won UK Single Song Release Of The Year at the 2013 Music Producers Guild Awards.
  • This won the award for Best Contemporary Song at the 2013 Ivor Novello Awards.
