Songfacts®:

  • Belgian DJ and music producer Stephen Fasano was originally one half of the duo Aeroplane with his fellow countryman Vito de Luca. After parting ways with DeLuca in June 2010 Fasono resurfaced as The Magician. The Belgian came to the public attention with his remixes of Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers" in 2011 and Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" in 2014.

The Magician signed to Parlophone/Warner Records in 2013 and made his label debut with the single "When The Night is Over." This is his second release, which features vocals from Years And Years lead singer, Olly Alexander. The frontman is better known as an actor, having featured in such films as Tormented, Enter the Void, and Great Expectations, where he played Herbert Pocket.
