Songfacts®:

  • In this song bassist Kieren Webster scat-cum-raps about the time he and vocalist Kyle Falconer spent the night in an Aberdeen jail cell. The pair were arrested when a fight broke out while they were DJing. Webster explained to The Sun October 31, 2009: "That song is about the injustice of what happened. We were DJing and tried to split up a fight on the dancefloor. Then when we were on the bus, this policeman arrested Kyle and me and chucked us in the nick."
  • Webster expressed his concerns to The View Are On Fire that this song might get him into trouble: "It's good when you play it live and you can have a dig at the police. But I've been told to stop. My mate Jimmy's a pure conspiracy theorist and he reckons I'm gonna get bumped off if I keep slagging the police. The first version we did we recorded it in The White Horse [pub] in Dundee and it was pure rappy but a bit dodgy. So I thought I'd make it sound not quite so rappy."
