Songfacts®:

  • This is the third single from the British-Irish Pop boy band The Wanted's second studio album, Battleground. The hitmaking songwriting team of Steve Mac, Wayne Hector and Ed Drewett penned the song. The same trio also wrote the boys' previous single, "Glad You Came" as well as their debut release, "All Time Low."
  • Jay McGuiness explained the song's meaning to OK magazine: "It's about kissing someone and using lightning as a metaphor to describe your nerves and excitement as you kiss them."
