Songfacts®:

  • This song was written by Chris DeStefano, Adam Hoffman, Matt Lipkins, Josh Osborne and Scott Schwartz. Rhett told the Las Vegas Review Journal: "I kind of call it 'Make Me Wanna's' big sister."

He added: "There's nothing in that song that's going to change anyone's life, but that melody is the most infectious melody I've ever heard. It sounds straight up like a Bee Gees song. I freaking love it. It's the hardest song I sing on the record, but it's fun to sing every night."
  • This is the (kind of) title track of Rhett's Tangled Up album. He explained the record's name to Radio.com: "I think it kind of describes my life a bit," Rhett said. "There's all these thoughts and all these melodies and all these different kinds of songs on the record. It's all tangled up in knots, in a way. It's like this big ball of yarn that you can't ever fully get undone, and I love that. I love that there's so much variety on the album, so that's why we chose Tangled Up as the name."
