TobyMac penned this song about his favourite time of the year. He told Yahoo Music, "I wanted to write a song about my struggles as a traveller trying to make it home to celebrate Christmas with my family. I'm sure a lot of people can relate. Sometimes it takes tenacious desire!"
TobyMac also released a carton visual to accompany the song. He said: "An animated video gave us the perfect canvas for humor, heart and colorful imagery to my song. . . so bring on the holidays, baby!"
Carla Thomas became the first woman to achieve a Top 10 hit on the Hot 100 with a song she wrote herself when "Gee Whiz (Look At His Eyes)" reached the chart's top tier in 1961. Thomas was just 16-years-old when she penned it.
