Songfacts®:

  • This song is about a couple who seemingly have little in common, but when you add them together, they're a perfect fit.

On Adkins' DVD Live Country!, recorded at a show in Huntington, New York on August 1, 2014, he introduced the song by saying, "This is a song I wrote about a cowboy with a city girl he ain't got no business with."
  • Adkins wrote this song with the Nashville songwriters Kenny Beard and Matt Nolen. The initial idea for the song came from Nolen; when he explained it to Adkins, Trace thought the concept was similar to his track "Ladies Love Country Boys," so on his subsequent tour he placed the songs back-to-back in the set.
