  • Houston, Texas native Trevor Daniel Neill is a singer-songwriter who performs under the name of Trevor Daniel. This song is from his debut EP Homesick, recorded after signing a contract with Internet Money Records.
  • Here, Trevor Daniel sings of a broken heart caused by a failed romance. He's finding it hard to trust anyone again as a result of that painful experience. The singer had vowed that he wasn't going to fall for anyone again, but now a lady has appeared on the scene that he's started having feelings for. He may be willing to take the plunge again.

Come closer, I'll give you all my love
If you treat me right, baby, I'll give you everything
My last made me feel like I would never try again
But when I saw you, I felt something I never felt.

Daniel explained in a Genius attribution: "I've got to be crazy to do this again. But she's got me head over heels and I'm feeling something special with her so I might have to just go for it and hope for the best."
  • Trevor Daniel wrote "Falling" along with the track's three producers.

Charlie Handsome, whose resumé also includes two Khalid hit songs: "Better" and the Texan singer's duet with Normani "Love Lies."

Internet Money Collective member KC Supreme. He also has credits on songs by YK Osiris ("Valentine") and Trippie Redd ("Til The End Of Time").

Taz Taylor, who is the founder of the Internet Money collective. He co-produced Lil Tecca's US Top 5 hit "Ransom."
  • So why Homesick? Daniel was out in Los Angeles and New York City, working on the EP with the guys in Internet Money. The Texan was homesick and missing his girlfriend during the entire process of making the record.
  • The song was influenced by a couple of relationships Trevor Daniel had. One was with a girl who "wasn't that awesome," he explained to Billboard. "And then I met this new girl and it was the honeymoon phase, so I was really feeling some type of way, and then later on, it ended up being the same thing."

"But at the time, it was a very nice, euphoric experience," Daniel added. "It's a contrast between the two."
