Songfacts®:

  • Wealdstone Raider is the online identity of confrontational football fan Gordon Hill. The builder and Wealdstone FC supporter became an Internet celebrity when a March 2013 YouTube video of him went viral. It showed Hill drunkenly taunting opposing supporters at Whitehawk FC with cries of "You want some?" and "You've got no fans."
  • Hill's rantings were added onto a dance-pop track after the Daily Mirror started a campaign to get the Raider to Christmas #1. It eventually landed at #5 on the festive chart behind songs by Ben Haenow, Mark Ronson, Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs.
  • The proceeds of the single benefited three charitable causes: Great Ormond Street Hospital, Autism Concern and Wealdstone Youth.
