  • Oh, here it comes

Well, train, train, take me on out of this town
Train, train, Lord, take me on out of this town
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's Memphis bound

Well, leavin' here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Lord, I'm leaving here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's got to go

Well, goodbye pretty mama, get yourself a money man
Goodbye, pretty mama, Lord, get yourself a money man
You take that midnight train to Memphis
    Lord, leave if you can
Oh, take that midnight train to Memphis
    Lord, leave if you can
Oh, take that train, baby Writer/s: Shorty Medlocke

  • Jimmy J from ScMet Blackfoot in a small practice space in Ft. Myers Fla. Ricky was driving a conversion van which I helped him clean and wax. The drummer from the band I was in informed me I had asked the wrong people for autographs. Ricky watched while some fill-in guitar player signed my Peavey guitar. Very embarrassed later.
  • Cajunscorpio from LouisianaGreat tune
  • Peter O from Nashville, TnTrain Train is my favorite Blackfoot song, my next favorite is On The Run. I love singing Train Train at karaoke. Though I have a bit of a gravely voice when I sing it, it fits the song rather well, giving a bit of my own rugged style but yet keeping the same style and melody of the song. Usually, all those people who are familiar with the song, really appreciate my effort and get a good response from everybody.
  • Jim Drumm from Grafton, NyHow does this song compare to The Band's "Mystery Train"? The lyrics and melody are the same.
  • Michelle from Wausau Wi I saw these guys in 1985 when I was only 16 years old and they were a great bunch of guys !
Even though there are no original members left I will be seeing the new members on August 13 the at Q and Z in Ringle Wisconsin ! This should be interesting.
  • Jason from Aurora, CoEvery time I play this song the dog howls to the harmonica in the beginning.
  • Laurent from Manama, BahrainBest Southern Rock band ever. Medlocke not singing in Lynyrd Skynyrd is a waste of talent! "Train Train" is a great live song.
  • Joann from Portsmouth, VaAlways liked Blackfoot, along with 38 Special, wish Highway Song was on the list cause I would like to hear that 1 also. Also like Molly Hatchett, their music is all similar.
