One month earlier on May 9th, 1960 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #52; and on June 27th it peaked at #1 (for 2 weeks) and spent 18 weeks on the Top 100 (and for 8 of those 18 weeks it was on the Top 10)...
It reached #2 on Billboard's R&B Singles chart and #24 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart...
During it's 1st week at #1 the #2 record was "Cathy's Clown" by the Everly Brothers (which was #1) and the 2nd week at #1 "Alley-Oop" by the Hollywood Argyles was at #2 (it in return bumped her out of the top spot)...
The record's B-side, "Jealous of You", also made the Top 100, it stayed on the chart for 11 weeks, peaking at #19...
Ms. Francis, born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero, will celebrate her 76th birthday this coming December 12th, 2014.
