  • Greg from Charleston, ScIt is said that George Strait did not initially like this song, because it has a more rock/pop sound (his character in the movie was a Garth Brooks-type country singer with a big flashy show) but the song did well, and was very popular among his fans, so he continues to perform it during his live shows.
