• T from From Iowa, Usa.I always thought 'The Crunge' by Led Zepplin was one of the strangest songs I'd ever heard... could not figure out what was going on with it??... until I finally put it together with the masterfully done 'Sex Machine' by James Brown... Led Zepplin 'ripped off'/did an 'homage' that is bizarre, and makes no sense unless you realize it derives from THIS song where 'the bridge' is a part of a song like 'a verse' or 'chorus' that Mr. Brown is playfully directing his band to begin playing...not an actual physical bridge on a road to ?? as in 'show me on this map!' 'Where is that confounded bridge to... (Wisconsin?)(Southwark?)???'...
• Mr Craig Cameron-fisher from LondonMaybe it's me, but having hit my 50s this song has taken on a new meaning to me: James Brown pleading with his male appendage in the face of erectile disfunction (or should that be disFUNKtion?); his desire to maintain an erection so as to be able to 'stay on the scene', with his manhood performing as reliably as a 'sex machine'.
  
  This is admittedly owing to mishearing 'shake your arm and use your form' as 'shake your arm and use your PALM', which obviously conjured up an associated, if unwelcome, image. 'Shake your money maker' reinforcing this mistaken belief through an association with Peter Green's 'Rattlesnake Shake'.
  
  Anyway, there it is.
