  • Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
And now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my best-est
And nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn
To win some or learn some

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
We are just one big family
And it's our God-forsaken right to be loved loved loved loved loved

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait I'm sure
    There's no need to complicate
    Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed
I guess what I been saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
    Our name is our virtue

But I won't hesitate no more, no more
    It cannot wait I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find the sky is yours
    So please don't please don't please don't
    There's no need to complicate
    'Cause our time is short
This, oh this, this is our fate, I'm yoursWriter/s: Jason Thomas Mraz

  • Elimy from :o, United KingdomI've loved this song for such a long time, It's so special to me, and last year it became even more special to me, I never thought it would be possible but it happened.

I met my boyfriend for the first time after 7 months of dating and during that week I stayed at his Jason Mraz came on the radio, It was so magical to be sitting next to him in a car holding his hand with our song playing, that was the second best moment ever, after meeting him for the first time of course :3

  • Shannon from Hamilton, OhBy "checking my tounge in the mirror", he means to see if he's sick. I'm not really sure where or when this... "wives tale"?, I suppose, started, but supposedly, if your tounge is discolored, it means you are sick. Something along those lines... haha.
  • Summa from Northeast , OkOh, and the rason it took so long to hit #1 is because it's a song that grows on you for sure. I was sick of it the first couple times I heard it, then I saw the video and was slightly obsessed.
  • Summa from Northeast , Ok"I've been spendin' way too long checkin' my tongue in the mirror, and bendin over backwards just to try to see it clearer, but my beath fogged up the glass- so I drew a new face & I laughed."

that refers to not taking one's self too seriously, worrying about what will happen or fixating on yourself. The next line explains it:

"I guess what I be sayin is there ain't no better reason to rid yourself of vanities and just go with the seasons."
