  • Jodie from XxMoto - Pittsburgh, Pa. I hope you don't actually think Kiss stands for that.
  • Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn May 26th 1977, Kiss provide Marvel Comics with a vial of their blood to be mixed with the red ink used to print their upcoming comic book...
At the time the quartet's "Calling Dr. Love" was at #22 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eighteen days earlier on May 8th it had peaked at #16 {for 2 weeks} and stayed on the chart for 14 weeks...
And on July 9th, 1977 it reached #2 {for 1 week} on the Canadian RPM Singles chart; the week it was at #2, the #1 record for that week was "Undercover Angel" by Alan O'Day...
    Between 1974 and 1990 the quartet had twenty-six Top 100 records; with two making the Top 10, "Beth" {#7 in 1976} and "Forever {#8 in 1990}
They just missed having a third Top 10 record when "I Was Made for Lovin' You" peaked at #11 in 1979.
  • Lily from Los Angeles, CaIs this about drug dealers, man prostitutes, pimps, or..just random gene and paul ideas?? Lol
  • Jason from Denver, CoTo all that "CLAIM" KISS stands for Knights In Satan's Service. Here's some information for you blind to reality people. Gene Simmons studied theology in college and from what I hear is quite knowledgable on the subject. Also to Mark in Luling LA. Katey Segal did not sing background vocals on Calling Dr. Love it was only the members of kiss. She did, however sing on radioactive from Gene's 1978 solo album.
  • Sara from Kansas City, KsRight on Jen...KISS does NOT mean "knights in satan's service". The founding members are Jewish for heaven's sake, they aren't satan-worshippers. Peter Criss is Catholic and Ace is...well, Ace. According to Paul Stanley, they wanted something short and simple.
  • Brian from Chicago Area, IlGene SImmons appears in a commercial for Dr. Pepper Cherry, using this song in the background for the "Trust me, I'm a doctor" tagline used previously by Dr. J, Julius Erving.
  • Twig from River Falls, WiMore cowbell !
  • Axeman from Melbourne, AustraliaWould you prefer 'Doctor ANAL Love', then?
  • Axeman from Melbourne, AustraliaWould you prefer 'Doctor ANAL Love', then?
  • Kent from Stockholm, SwedenAC/DC DOES stand for something?
Alternating Current / Direct Current ;)
  • Jason from Tampa, FlThe Three Stooges short in question was Men in Black, which had no resemblance to the Will Smith/Tommy Lee Jones movie many decades later.
  • Mark from Luling, LaThe female background vocals were done by Katey Sagal (Peggy Bundy from "Married with Children.)
  • Randy from Colerain Twp., OhWho is singing the deep backing vocals? Like 'God of Thunder' this song sounds much better live.
  • Gary from Bar Harbor, MeThe intro to this song is slightly different on the Double Platinum album. You can hear Gene moaning and saying Calling Dr. Love right before the opening chord kicks in.
  • Jeff from Austin, TxThat Three Stooges movie is when they were doctors in a dog hospital, right?? If so, its DEFINITELY one of the best ones ever!!
  • Michael from San Diego, CaBaby, I know what the problem is...the first step of the cure is, a kiss!" Braggadocio at it's finest, but one of my favorite songs by this legendary band!
  • Cam from Cambridge, CanadaOn the Rock n Roll Over album they played this song and later on in 1988 KISS brought it back to life. But in the revived version Bruce Kulic added little riffs in spots Ace didn't.
  • Scott from Oxford, NcLove Ace's solo though. Love where the tone changes.
  • Jen from Ontario, CanadaEddie, thank you so much! I hate it when people say that! They're not satanists! It desnt stand for ANYTHING! its just a band!

also, AC/DC DOES NOT stand for Anti Christ Devil Child! ARRRGH
  • Moto from Pittsburgh, PaGreat song from a Great album! KISS.......Knights in Satan's Service!
  • Bobbie from Central, Nm"Silly Song?" There were a load of males when that song came out who thought the song was wrote for them.
  • Pink from Hazlet, NjShyeah. That's the best Three Stooges episode ever.
  • Stefanie Magura from Rock Hill, ScSort of a silly song. Don't ya think?
