  • Hear my baby comin' down the track
    Betcha my baby's comin' back
Someday she'll get back to me
Whoa, we're gonna raise a family

    We're gonna groove, yeah, groove
    Yeah, we're gonna groove
Whoa, my baby, we're gonna love, love, love
    Until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
You don't know what you do to me
Let me say you're my one desire
You just set my soul on fire

Oh, we're gonna groove, yeah, groove
    And we're gonna groove, baby
Baby, baby, we're gonna love, love, love, love
    Until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
Lemme tell ya you don't know whatcha do to me
You just set my soul on fire
Woman, you know you're my one desire
    My one desire, my one

We gonna groove, oh, we gonna groove
    We gonna groove, yeah
And we're gonna love, love, love
    Until the break of day

    We gonna groove, yeah, groove
    And we're gonna groove
Love me, mama, yeah Writer/s: Ben E. King, James Bethea

  • Thomas from Roswell, NmBest track from Coda.
  • David from Los Angeles , CaThis song is sick on the Led Zeppelin DVD, the solo is ridiculously fast
  • Peter Griffin from Quahog, RiThis isn't the only outtake from Led Zeppelin II. There was another song they were recording for the album called "Sugar Mama" that has never been released.
  • Peter Griffin from Quahog, RiThis was played live in 1970.
  • Peter Griffin from Quahog, RiHow could they have not recorded a studio version of this?
  • Kirk from Orlando, Fl(answering Ty's question) from 1:47 to 1:51 the drums are just playing 16th notes, fairly softly with accents. and since not much else is playing they can be heard much more fully.
  • Bill from Topeka, Ksgood i lke playing the opening drums to it
  • Ty from Marion, InWhat is going on with the drums from from about 1:47 to 1:51? I have the version on the 2-disc box set that came after the 4-disk box set of remasters.
  • Jonathan from TorontoI hate when people base so much on lyrics instead of the quality of the music. If I wanted to base it completly on lyrics I would read poetry instead of listening to music.
  • Ben from Golden, CoBen E. King performed this song as "Grooving".
  • Matthew from Sarasota, FlThis song was great on the dvd, umbelivebly fast solo too i want to learn it.
  • Jaydm from Brisbane, AustraliaMY second fav led song after the great staiway
  • George from No. Hampton, NhGreat now we have people who think Robert Plant was unoriginal with his lyrics. The Rain Song? Stairway to Heaven?
  • Colin K from Sndy Creek, Ohmy buddy and i formed a band and this song is our opener... it leves em wet in their socks... hail to the kings! the mighty zep!
  • Adrian from Wilmington, DeI can't believe that for Coda, Jimmy Page edited over his original guitar solo from the Royal Albert Hall performance because it totally rocks!
  • Kabrams from Dallas, TxFirst off, this is a great way to kick off the led zeppelin dvd. Second, listen to some of their other songs (like "Stairway") before you claim that led zeppelin is unoriginal with their lyrics.
  • Ben from Essex, EnglandThe whole culture with the blues is how like many of the songs come from a similar tradition and are played by many different artists over the years. Just cos Zep got huge, people tried to challenge this unwritten rule and demand royalties. If they were a small, unpopular band you can be that there would have be far less (if any) lawsuites against them. I think Zep should have acknowledged there influences though, say on the album sleeve, but as far as them ripping off people - rubbish. EVERY musician and band there ever was has been influenced and inspired by previous artists to varying degrees.
  • Lucas from Hermosa Beach, Ca"but originality in lyrics is not one of their strong points."...James, think before you speak. Sure they have "ripped" some lwords from other songs but that is the worst reason for saying they are not good at writing lyrics...Think my dear boy
  • Greg from Hicksville, VtIt was recorded on 1/9/70 and is the first song in the DVD set.
  • Paul from Burnsville, MnJames, (SF) are lyrics the entire song or can you write a song and use remnants of lyrics from others? The intsrumental 3/4 of the song is very original- and I guarantee you it sounds nothing like the version they "copied". No one drums like Bohnam, no one rocks like Led Zeppelin. A few borrowed lyrics dont qualify their songs as covers.
  • James from San Francisco, CaMost of their early songs are blatant rip-offs of classic blues tunes. Of course, they still rock--but originality in lyrics is not one of their strong points.
  • Paulo from New York, NyDid Ben E. King actually write this for Led Zeppelin or someone else? I can't seem to find any instance of this song performed by King.
  • James from Birmingham, AlMany Led Zeppelin songs, at least the lyrics, were not written by them. Several were blues songs written years before they were around.
