• Tam from UkIt's probably not the intended meaning, but I see this as a song about evil things that used to be excused by religion, and the delusion of some religious people. They're possibly being tortured and executed for their sins ("I'll give you all the nails you need" suggests crucifixion, "cover me in gasoline" and "I'm burning" certainly implies that they're being burned at the stake), perhaps for something harmless. People were very often executed for following the wrong type of christianity in the past. Surely their omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent god can see what's happening and will save them? In the end, despite all the pleading for help and torture, their god doesn't help. He never answers, relieves the pain or stops the torture... because the god is either a monster (hey, this is the same god that commits genocides) or simply does not exist.

• Hi, My Name Is from Appleton, WiThis is a beautiful song about someone, and quite possibly their family, who knows they need help escaping from some tradgic situation and they don't know what to do anymore, or how to get help, so they turn to the one thing they do know; Their religion, after they find no one else will/wants to help them.
