  • Captured effortlessly, that's the way it was
    Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love
The next thing I felt was you holding me close
What was I gonna do? I let myself go

And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever

I've been waitin' for you, it's been so long
I knew just what I would do when I heard your song
Filled my heart with your bliss
    Gave me freedom
You knew I could not resist, I needed someone

And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night lasts forever
    Oh, oh, ohh

    Ain't nobody (nobody)
Loves me better (loves me better)
    Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way (nobody)
    Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
    Loves me better (than you)

I wait for night time to come and bring you to me
Can't believe I'm the one, I was so lonely
I feel like no one could feel
    I must be dreamin'
I want this dream to be real
    I need this feelin'

I make my wish upon a star
And hope this night will last forever
    Oh, oh, ohh

    Ain't nobody (nobody)
Loves me better (better than me)
Makes me happy (me feel this way)
Makes me feel this way (nobody, baby)
    Ain't nobody (nobody, babe)
    Loves me better (nobody makes)
    Ain't nobody (me feel)
    Loves me better (than you)

At first you put your arms around me
Then you put your charms around me
I can't resist this sweet surrender
Oh, my nights are warm and tender
We stare into each other's eyes
And what we see is no surprise
Got a feeling most with treasure
And a love so deep we cannot measure

    Ain't nobody (nobody)
    Loves me better (better me)
(Can make me feel this way) makes me happy, makes me feel (this way)

    Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
    Loves me better (nobody)
    Ain't nobody
    Loves me better (nobody, baby)
    Ain't nobody (nobody, baby)
Loves me better (ah, make me feel just all your love)
Makes me happy (so much love)
Makes me feel this way (can feel the love)

    Ain't nobody (all the love)
Loves me better (now I know love)
Ain't nobody (makes me wanna scream and shout)
    Loves me better (nobody)
    Ain't nobody (ain't nobody)
    Loves me better (ain't nobody)
Makes me happy (ooh) makes me feel this way (nobody, babe)
    Ain't nobody (whoa)
    Loves me better (ain't nobody)
    Ain't nobody (ohh)
Loves me better (make me feel this way)
    Ain't nobody (nobody, babe)
    Loves me better (nobody, babe)
    Makes me happy (nobody, baby)
Makes me feel this way (ain't nobody)

Ain't nobody (no, no) makes me feel this way
(Baby, baby, baby) ain't nobody (baby, baby, baby) makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody (makes me feel, makes feel this way) Writer/s: David Wolinski

  • Pnw Dj from Washington Chaka Kahns version is a big girl song...grown woman status. Love MJ but can't imagine the 80s without 'Ain't Nobody ' by Chaka...just saying.
  • Terry M from Tacoma Wa.Could Michael have sung, "and a love so deep we can not measure"? Too bad we'll never know.
  • Markantney from BiloxeFeb 2015,

Stacey, I agree MJ would've knocked this out the park, ala "Rock With You" and "Off The Wall" but I don't see him topping Chaka's Whalling and Riffing in the song? He can't hit those notes; which kinda make the song.

MJ would've had a smoother version but he'd killed it too.
  • Dryattz from Atlanta, GaThis song has one of the most amazing minimalist sax parts. Two notes at 3:40, perfectly placed and performed. Two more at 3:48. Oh, to be so eloquent!
  • Stacey from Philadelphia, Pai think this one of the best love songs ever written its just perfect. MJ would do it even more Justice
  • Massimo from New York, NyIt's not a drum machine, JR played Live drums there.
  • Matt from Raleigh, NcYikes - can you imagine if MJ had sung this? "Thriller" would be much more a monster album. I can definitely see MJ doing this - very percussive vocals, funky groove; it might have replaced "Baby Be Mine"
  • Zigmars from Riga, EuropeOne of the essential songs of the 80th!
  • Shonda from Los Angeles, CaI can't imagine Michael Jackson singing this song.
  • Alan from Singapore, SingaporeThis song was featured and also include in the soundtrack of a breakdance movie, Breakin' in 1984
  • Dave from Cardiff, WalesTwice a UK hit single for Rufus/Chaka Khan - originally made No.21 in 1983. A remix later peaked at UK No.7 in 1989. In 1997, the song was also covered by LL Cool J, whose version went to UK No.1 after its' inclusion in the Beavis & Butthead Do America film soundtrack
