  • If you could see my mind, if you really look deep, then maybe you'll find
That somewhere there will be a place, hidden behind my comedian face
You will find somewhere there's a house, and inside that house there's a room
Locked in the room in the corner you see

A voice is waiting for me, to set it free, I got the key, I got the key
    Voices, I hear voices

In my head the voice is waiting, waiting for me to set it free
I locked it inside my imagination, but I'm the one who's got the combination
Some people didn't like what the voice did say

So I took the voice and I locked it away, I got the key, I got the key
Voices, I hear voices, voices, I hear voices

    Chorus:
Don't look back, look straight ahead, don't turn away, then the voice it said
Don't look back, yesterday's gone, don't turn away, you can take it on

    (Solo)

Voices, I hear voices, voices, I hear voices

    (chorus repeats 3x)

Voices, voices, voices, voices - don't look back
    Voices, voices

    (chorus repeats 2x)... Writer/s: BALLARD

  • Riverside Rich from Temecula, CaThis song probably wouldn't work if released today, at least from a mental health perspective.
The vibe I get from the song is: 'I'm awesome, I'm a shaman, I hear voices!' as an overt brag - but today most people might easily hear the words of someone with schitzophrenia symptoms.
  • Hodaka Linc from New Smyrna Beach FloridaI used to crank this song back in 84’ driving down SR 436 in Altamonte, those were the days.
  • Paul from Newhen this song comes on u think of crocket and tubbs at dusk on that boat..
  • Paulbaby from OhioI see it as a yummy who wants to get in the drug business and learns that it is not an easy decision.
  • Steve H from Westerville I love this song and the video fits the lyrics to the T. I was never a drug dealer but I’m sure it is challenging as the buyer or seller may kill the other while worrying about getting busted.
  • Greg R from VermontThe songs after voices went down hill they have no soul anymore its a sad situation. Except 4 a small percentage of new songs now.
  • Kyle from San Diego, CaPerfect song use in Miami Vice, and a killer song to drive to at night on the highway!
