Saw a picture of us, in the back of your truck
It got me reminiscing on what we used to be
I always knew it would end, but it's sure fun to pretend
That you're just somewhere out there
Wishing you're next to me

Guess a fling is a fling for a reason
Our love went cold with the seasons

I, I'll always remember you said I look stunning
With the rain on my face
I, I'll always remember my makeup was running
But you kissed me anyways
Are you missing kissing in the pouring rain?
I'll admit it, sometimes I wish things never changed
I still think about it all the time
The summer that you were mine
You were mine

Feels like it was just July, but it's September and I
I kinda wanna call ya, but I'm scared you'll let it ring
Saw your friends hanging out, they don't look at me now
And damn, I wish it wasn't the way it has to be
Guess a fling is a fling for a reason
Our love went cold with the seasons

I, I'll always remember you said I look stunning
With the rain on my face
I, I'll always remember my makeup was running
But you kissed me anyways
Are you missing kissing in the pouring rain?
I'll admit it, sometimes I wish things never changed
I still think about it all the time
The summer that you were mine
You were mine

Was it love, was it lust?
Did I think it'd end up with my head on your chest?
"I love you" under your breath
Was it wrong to believe we could ever be
More than just a memory?

I, I'll always remember you said I look stunning
With the rain on my face
I, I'll always remember my makeup was running
But you kissed me anyways
I hope you're missing kissing in the pouring rain
I'll admit it, sometimes I wish things never changed
I still think about it all the time
