    At the time the song was at #12 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, the following week it would peak at #10 {for 1 week} and it spent 11 weeks on the Top 100...
    And on September 6th it reached #1 {for 1 week} on the Canadian RPM Singles chart...
    Between 1965 and 1976 in their native Canada the group had forty records on the RPM Singles chart, sixteen made the Top 10 with four* reaching #1, besides "Laughing", their three other #1s were "Shakin' All Over" for 3 weeks in 1965, "No Time" for 2 weeks in 1970, and "American Woman/No Sugar Tonight" for 3 weeks in 1970...

  • Camille from Toronto, OhOh, this is just an excellent, classic song. Great lyrics, I'm figuring this is Burton Cummings singing; always love his voice. Another one of those tunes that we should hear on the oldies radio stations more often!
