  • Money's got the medicine
    You can't believe in anything
I wanted what I've never had
You get it then it's gone again

You wonder where the weather went
    You're sucking on a cigarette
And hell here comes the rain again
    And heaven isn't heaven sent

    I don't believe
    I don't believe you don't believe me
    I don't believe you
    Don't believe it's true

Life is short and God is gold
    Promises are bought and sold
    And everything I never said
Comes crashing on my tiny head

    Nothing down here's ever free
The same sun shines on you and me
And give me all your chemistry
    And don't believe it honestly

    I don't believe
    I don't believe you don't believe me
    I don't believe you
    Don't believe it's true

    Money's got the medicine
    You can't believe in anything
I wanted what I've never had
You get it then it's gone again

Life is short and God is gold
    Promises are bought and sold
    Everything I never said
Comes crashing on my tiny head

    I don't believe (sucking on a cigarette)
    I don't believe you don't believe me
I don't believe you (here comes the rain again)
    Don't believe it's true

I don't believe (promises are bought and sold)
    I don't believe you don't believe me
I don't believe you (crashing on my tiny head)
    Don't believe it's true

    I don't believe (can't believe in anything)
    I don't believe you don't believe me
I don't believe you (sucking on a cigarette)
    Don't believe it's true

    I don't believe
    I don't believe you don't believe me

  • Bill from Denver ColoradoI first listen to The Psychedelic Furs when back in 1983 when I was a teenager, my older brother got me, and my friends to listen to their music and I have enjoyed it ever since. I feel a little heartbroken to know that Richard does not believe in God. I hope and pray that he finds God along the way because the Bible does describe times like these will continue to occur until man changes his heart.
