  • Andrew from Baltimore, MdThis song is about sex...No, im not saying that because everyone thinkis every song is about sex, but bono did say it in their book U2 by U2
  • Garrett from Pittsburgh, PaThat beginning part of the song with the feedback sorta sound add an "edge" to the song. One of the greatest bands ever, no doubt.
  • Danleichty from Rochester, MnTo me it could be a song about the holy spirt.
  • James from Westchester, EnglandSo does anyone have any idea what this song is about?
  • Dora from Doha, QatarIn this song's music video, is the airplane in the beginning and end of it a reference to their 'Beautiful Day' music video?

Great song by the way! The guitar chords are awesome!
  • Megan from Winnipeg, CanadaThis song reminds me of my boyfriends dad.
  • Melissa from Newtown, Pabono and the edge are pretty lovely.
  • Matthew Doroshow from Philadelphia, PaOn the Elevation Tour they opened with this song- with all the house lights on.. they went off about halfway through the song. They also played this on the Vertigo Tour- and Larry's drums didn't hit until about midway through as well...
  • Rick from Humboldt, IaThe only thing I don't like about U2 is how they change their first song of each concert every tour. My favorite band Fleetwood Mac always performs "The Chain" first, and they alwyays will. This is a great song to perform first, but now they do "City of Blinding Lights". I think it would be a better idea just to pick a song and stay with it.
  • Dawson from Draper, UtThis song is used in an episode of "Smallville", entitle "Leech".
  • Angela from Hagerstown, MdIn the part of the video where it does the "Matrix"-y bit, one of the things in the grocery bag is a box of Bigelow LemonLift tea. awesome tea, BTW.
  • Jamie from Bethesda, MdWhen I first heard Elevation...I thought it was a bit confusing and techno....It kind of reminded me of Zoo Station( not one of my favs)
after a few more listenings...Elevation became one of my favorite U2 Songs ever...up there with "Bad", "one" , "Running to stand still"
and now Vertigo----to be honest....Zoo Station really grew on me also. Actually I thought I was going to burn out on Vertigo when It got so much attention pre release of the album...No burn out...I llisten to Vertigo at least once a day in my car at very high volumes..."hello hello"
    Peace....boogie
  • Jack Lee from Nottingham, EnglandThe video to this featured an 'evil' version of U2, and Lara Croft had to save the day
