  • Los Angeles-based rapper 310babii recorded his first song as a seventh grader using BandLab on his phone. From there, rapping simply became part of his daily routine. In June 2023, the high school senior recorded "Soak City (Do It)" in his bedroom. He dropped the song to streaming services on June 3, 2023.
  • "Soak City (Do It)" combines playful, explicit lyrics, and a danceable vibe. 310's like a drill sergeant on the playground, shouting "Left, do it. Right, do it."
  • 310babii introduces the upbeat, summertime-centric banger with a snippet from a commercial for Knott's Soak City Water Park in Buena Park, California.

  • The track blew up locally in Compton, California, thanks to its summer vibes and easy dance moves. By September 2023, the song had become a viral sensation as NFL stars like Travis Kelce, CJ Stroud and Rashid Shaheed used 310babii's song as an end zone celebration. Other celebrities like LeBron James, Nick Cannon, Travis Scott, and online star Kai Cenat cosigned it.

"When I saw CJ Stroud dancing after scoring and they put my song behind him doing The Squabble, I was like, 'Oh. I think it's out of here,'" 310 told Billboard. "That was the first big step to being a hit record. I just needed that push."
  • 310babii freestyled the lyrics for "Soak City" and recorded it in 15 to 20 minutes with the BandLab app.

"I feel like BandLab offers exactly what the kids want and wanna hear," said 310. "Right now, I'm speaking on behalf of my generation; we don't want the million-dollar mixes or the Drake mixes. We want s--t that's not low quality, but it doesn't need to be too crisp and epic. Sometimes, the 808s are gonna be a little distorted, or the voice is going to sound like [it came from] a cheap mic, but that's the beauty of it. I think that's what it was for me."
  • "Soak City (Do It)" received the remix treatment with West Coast all-stars Mustard, OhGeesy, BlueBucksClan, Tyga and Blueface jumping on the song. The new version was released September 8, 2023. According to 310babii, the artists contacted him on Instagram for the collaboration.
