Songfacts®:

  • "Lovesick Girls" finds BlackPink lamenting the loss of a relationship in a mixture of Korean and English. Each of the girls deal with their heartbreak in their own way, with Lisa wanting to be left alone and Jennie wishing to quit love. However, despite all the tears, the quartet is still longing for romance.
  • Blackpink's Jennie and Jisoo co-wrote the lyrics along with LØREN (Lee Seungjoo), Danny Chung and YG Entertainment's in-house producer Teddy Park.
  • David Guetta co-composed the music. This is the first K Pop writing credit for the French DJ who is known for such hit songs as "Titanium", "Without You" and "Hey Mama." The other music writers are Jennie, Teddy, Korean producers 24 and R Tee, Korean-American producer Brian Lee, and Leah Haywood of the pop/electronica duo Dreamlab.
